The Challenge – Exes 2 Rankings: Week Eight

battle-of-the-exes-2

First Impressions Are: We’ve gotten very close to the end out of nowhere.  Top 5, so it’s pretty much the playoffs.  Teams have gotten tense as F$*#k.  Into it.

The Challenge: Speed Dating

Teams had to jump from one moving tractor trailer to an adjacent tractor trailer, while the trailers drive at 30mph.  To a normie in a car, that aint fast, but to be on the top of a moving vehicle? Bro…Each team had to start on one rig.  The girls went first and because jumping alone was too easy they had to jump to the other rig, grab two balls, and deposit them on the other side.  Then it would be the guys turn.  The fastest teams to grab as many balls as possible in a fast time would win.  However, the rigs would separate at a few times, forcing the teams to time their jumps.

The Power Couple: Nia & Leroy (How fucking poetic)

The Losers: Sarah & Jordan

The Vote:  Of COURSE Nia & Leroy got fried chicken for dinner.  They also decided however to make all the teams feel safe prior to elimination.  Smart move, because you needed to make all the teams feel like they might be an ally.  To the dome: Sarah & Jordan V. Jonna & Zach

The Dome: Hammer It Home

There were two giant I-Beams on 2 tracks and the goal was to hammer the I-Beam back on the track with a sledgehammer.  The guys would go first and hammer halfway and the girls would go second.  This would be a tough elimination spot for Jordan with the one hand thing. First team to hammer in and ring a bell would win.

Winners: Sarah & Jordan (who would have guess a one-armed man would have killed it like that)

Power Couple Rankings

1. Theresa & Wes – Wes saying that competitions like the one they did this week are the reasons why these people with jobs keep coming back was oddly prescient. Also, their politicking was an utter thing of beauty at the Power Couple Dinner.

2. Sarah & Jordan – I feel like they would have taken the whole thing if their cords did not cross.

3. Nia & Leroy –  These guys put on a great showing on all accounts and were smart enough to send home a solid team instead of the easy Jenna & Jay vote.  BRILLIANT.

4. Jenna & Jay – They got the gift of being the dead on favorite to go home next week.

The Biggest Losers

1.  Jonna & Zach – I think Zach might actually be The Devil.  For his attitude alone, they deserved go home.  Jonna however, really brought in the Dome.  It’s nice to know they went home on both accounts because of Zach.  No one eff this guy.

Second Impressions Are:  This episode was proof through and through that talent can only take you so far.  You have to be able to play the game.
